The Udaipur Police today seized more than One Thousand cartons of liquor costing around Rs. Twenty Lac. Police Constable Sher Singh of the Goverdhan Vilas Police Station was informed by sources that a truck coming from Haryana and moving towards Gujarat was carrying liquor.

Receiving this information, a police team led by Rajiv Prasar, an IPS officer went to Mahadev Dhaba in Balicha and barricaded the area where they found the truck. The receipt carried by the driver showed that the truck contained PVC Rexene but when the police checked the truck, liquor was discovered in it, covered by mud.

The Truck Driver and spotter have been arrested. When enquired the driver said, he is from Sachur village in Haryana and he was told on phone that he will be handed over this truck at Hissar, which he has to take to Gujarat for which he will be given Eight Thousand rupees and he had no clue about what the truck carried.

No other information regarding this incident is obtained as yet.
