On Sunday, December 24,2023, two people who had tested positive for Covid-19 unfortunately died in separate road accidents. Within the last 24 hours, 11 more individuals were confirmed to have Covid-19, bringing the total active cases in the state to 20. Seven of these new cases were identified in Jaipur, and one case each was reported in Alwar, Dausa, Kota, and Sawai Madhopur.

Since Covid-19 cases have reappeared in the state, government hospitals have set up special sections for Covid-19 patients. If someone is admitted to the hospital with symptoms resembling the flu, they will be tested for Covid-19. If the test is positive, they will be placed in the hospital's designated area for Covid-19 treatment.

In Jaipur, the number of active Covid-19 cases increased to 10 as seven more people tested positive. The health department is now collecting more samples for Covid-19 tests, gathering 722 samples in the past 24 hours. This is a significant increase from the previous range of 100 to 400 samples collected.

The health department is paying attention because they got a letter from the Centre about a new type of Covid called JN.I. It is been discovered in Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi and Goa.
