Two men, including the owner of an arms and ammunition outlet died in an accidental blast that took place at at their shop located at Sub City Center in Savina area of Udaipur on Tuesday.
Inspector General of Police, Udaipur range, Ajay Pal Lamba and SP Udaipur, Yogesh Goyal along with other senior police official reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the matter. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was also called on the scene to take the samples.
The incident took place at around 3:00PM when the owner of the shop, Rajendra Devpura and a labourer were present at the shop. The impact of the blast was such that both Rajendra and the labourer died on the spot, as per SP Udaipur Yogesh Goyal. The blast happened on the first floor of the three storied building and it was so powerfull that the building got damaged and both the deceased were thrown out of the building. The two men were completed burnt and their charred bodies were later shifted to the mortuary for postmortem.
As per latest reports, the police are investigating the cause of the blast.
