Two more deaths due to COVID19 takes total death toll in Udaipur to 11 | News from Udaipur

Two patients who died today morning were COVID19 positive and were co-morbid deaths - both were above 60 years of age

Two more deaths related to COVID19 and co-morbidity were recorded in the first half of the day today. This takes the total death count in Udaipur due to COVID19 to 11.  Udaipur crossed the 1000 COVID19 positive patient count today afternoon as well.

Both patients were residents of Udaipur city and succumbed to co-morbidities made more pernicious by COVID19.

The first death that occurred early morning today was that of 78 year old Shankar Soni, son of Poonam Chand. Shankar was a resident of Gayatri Nagar in Hiran Magri Sector 5.

The other patient who died today morning at 9:20am was Pankaj, aged 60 years and resident of Mahaveer Nagar, Sector 4, Hiran Magri, Udaipur. He was admitted to the COVID ward on 5 July and died of co-morbidities - atypical pneumonia, which is a less severe form of pnsumonia than typical pneumonia with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome.  He was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus type 2, a complex polygenic disorder.

These two deaths have taken the total COVID19 deaths in Udaipur to 11. 151 patients are still active in the COVID19 positive wards at various hospitals in Udaipur.
