Today, on May 15, 2024, the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) took action to demolish an illegally constructed office belonging to the Cemetery Committee. The House, built on UDA land, was located between Ayad Bridge and Anand Plaza.

The demolition operation was conducted by a team from the UDA, supported by the presence of police forces and UIT's Home Guards. The action came amidst ongoing development work along the Ayad River, where numerous constructions were found to be encroaching upon government land or riverbanks.

Recent initiatives by the Municipal Corporation also targeted encroachments and illegal constructions, with several structures being removed in the past few days. However, further actions were delayed due to the involvement of municipal staff in election duties related to the Lok Sabha elections.
