On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, UDA successfully reclaimed about 10 lakh square feet of government land in Bhuwana, Udaipur. This land had been illegally occupied by land mafias.

The UDA operation took approximately six hours. The team discovered that unknown land mafias had taken over the land, installed a boundary, and built small structures. The land, valued at around Rs 50 crore  based on market rates, was registered under the government.

Tehsildar Dr. Abhinav Sharma led the UDA team to the site after receiving a complaint. They identified illegal occupations in plot numbers 2570, 2571, and 2572. After paying compensation, the land was officially registered in UDA's name.

The team demolished a boundary wall and dismantled both temporary and permanent structures using a JCB. No individuals who sold the plots to the public were found during the operation.

UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain has warned the public to avoid buying land from illegal sources. He advises buyers to verify the validity of land documents before making a purchase.
