UDA to receive a Commissioner

District Collector is expected to get the position

The Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) may undergo a change in leadership. In this new arrangement, an additional position may be introduced, and District Collector Arvind Poswal is a potential candidate to assume this additional responsibility. He may be assigned an additional charge, effectively taking on the role of commissioner within the UDA.

Divisional Commissioner Rajendra Bhatt has been appointed as the chairman in preparation for the enforcement of the code of conduct. It is important to highlight that following the enforcement of the code of conduct, any compulsory appointments or postings will require approval from the Election Commissioner.

With the appointment of a commissioner in UDA, Udaipur will be divided into four zones. Within the commissioner's administration, a secretary will play a pivotal role. Reporting to the secretary, there will be four deputy commissioners, each of whom will oversee a Tehsildar. Similarly, a senior town planner will be designated to manage the town planning system.

If the District Election Officer's responsibilities expand, Collector Arvind Poswal will shoulder additional duties. Furthermore, other officials who could be potentially involved in this scenario are Vasudev Malawat Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Udaipur, Excise Commissioner Om Prakash Kasera, and TAD (Tribal Area Development) Commissioner Tarachand Meena.
