To enhance the city's green spaces, the Municipal Corporation Garden Committee has announced a supplementary allocation for the 83 parks under its purview. The decision, made during a crucial meeting chaired by Committee Chairman Mahesh Trivedi, aims to facilitate better maintenance and organization of these public spaces.
Chairman Trivedi revealed that the grant allocated to the parks will see an increase of Rs 1000. This boost comes after a decade without any adjustment in the assistance amount provided by the Municipal Corporation. The decision, made under the directive of Mayor Govind Singh Tank, received unanimous approval from the committee members.
The funds, provided as partial financial assistance to the 83 parks, are intended to address long-standing maintenance concerns and ensure a greener, more vibrant cityscape.
In addition to the funding, the meeting also addressed issues concerning Sukhadia Circle. Discussions focused on various challenges, including construction, health concerns, and encroachments, affecting the area. Efforts are underway to tackle these issues and restore order to the affected spaces.
