Udaipur Airport Expansion: Land Acquisition Begins

State Civil Aviation Department has issued a notification for land acquisition from villages for Dabok airport upgrade

Udaipur, June 13, 2025 - Efforts to upgrade Maharana Pratap Airport, Dabok, to international standards and expand its infrastructure have gained momentum. While the construction of a new terminal building is progressing rapidly to give the airport a modern design, the State Civil Aviation Department has issued a notification for land acquisition for its expansion.

The Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Mavli has been appointed to oversee the rehabilitation and resettlement of affected families.

A total of 126.1010 acres (50.9413 hectares) of privately-owned land will be acquired for the expansion and development of the airport. This includes land from villages in the Mavli and Vallabhnagar tehsils. Land will be acquired from the villages of Dabok and Ghanoli in Mavli tehsil, and Tus Dangiyan, Rawatpura Tus and Mandesar in Vallabhnagar tehsil.

If any stakeholder has an objection regarding the land acquisition, they may file it in writing with the Sub-Divisional Officer, Mavli, within 60 days from the date of publication of the notification.

With the issuance of this notification, no sale or purchase of the notified land in these villages will be allowed without the permission of the State Government. Additionally, no construction activity will be permitted on this land.
