An exhibition of renowned Udaipur’s stone sculptor Hemant Joshi's artworks has commenced at the world-famous Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai. The seven-day exhibition, titled ‘Metal-Canvas-Stone,’ showcases Joshi’s remarkable stone sculptures made from scrap materials.
The exhibition was inaugurated by renowned architect Sanjay Puri, interior architects Rupesh Baid and Archana Baid, and The Bombay Art Society’s president, Rajendra Patil. The guests lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the beginning of the event and extended their best wishes to Hemant Joshi.
While viewing the sculptures, the guests praised Joshi’s artistic talent. They appreciated how he shaped stones with such creativity, making them appear as malleable as wax. The unique aspect of Joshi’s work is that all the sculptures are crafted from scrap, reflecting the concept of ‘best from waste.’
Joshi shared that the exhibition features a range of sculptures, varying in size from 9 inches to 7 feet, created using stones of different colors. A large number of art enthusiasts visited the gallery to admire the sculptures.
