In support of anti corruption crusader Anna Hazare, Udaipur city will observe a day long bandh on August 19, 2011 Friday. The call of bandh came after the joint announcement of Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Bhartiya Janta Party.

Except emergency services like medical facilities etc. all offices, most of the schools and organizations will remain close.

Most of the people have welcomed the proposed bandh after the news spread in the city; however confusions are still there about the institutions and services that will be affected by the proposed bandh .

BJP member and Municipal Councilor, Paras Singhvi has informed that “we will try to make it a successful bandh and request everyone to close their work for a day in support of Anna Hazare. The bandh will be non violent and we hope good response from common people”.

The protest continues in the city for the third consecutive day. Many towns and cities are also observing bandh in support of Anna; Anna Hazare is also expected to start his aanshan from Raam Leela Maidan from tomorrow.
