A series of events have taken place in Udaipur in 2015 which have grabbed media attention. But travelers from across the globe have been looking out for exciting places to explore and the ‘city of lakes’ has topped the chart.

Based on online search survey, Udaipur has landed on rank no. 1 in the list of top 10 Indian destinations searched on Google in 2015.

‘The City of Lakes is also known for its wooded Aravali hills, glorious palaces, temples, havelis and some really colorful streets in the city’s oldest quarters. It was way back in 1829 that Colonel James Tod of the East India Company had named Udaipur: the most romantic spot on the continent of India,’ as stated on the online portal India Today that published this list.

The list has some famous travel destinations including Nainital, Darjeeling, Kashmir, Mahabaleshwar, Kodaikanal, Varanasi, Vishakhapatnam, Lansdowne and surprisingly Ladakh falling at the last position of Google searches this year.

This list definitely sheds a positive light on Udaipur’s tourism that is gaining momentum and attracting lot of tourists to the city of lakes.
