In the field of innovation, students from the College of Technology and Engineering (CTAE) at MPUAT have developed a cutting-edge “Greywater Filtration System.” The project, led by Mohammad Saif Khan, Jisha Agarwal, Adarsh Sahu and Gajendra Singh Chauhan, gained widespread acclaim and recently received the esteemed "Vikram Award 2023" for innovative projects.

The greywater filtration system, designed by the students, incorporates environmentally friendly filters and significantly reduces electricity consumption. It focuses on treating "greywater" generated from various domestic sources such as bathrooms, sinks, and washing machines. The primary objective is to contribute to the reduction of domestic water consumption, addressing a critical aspect of water conservation.

The project, carried out under the guidance of Assistant Professor Dr. Bheru Lal from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, has not only showcased the students hardwork but has also contributed significantly to sustainable water management.

Secure Meters, a leading entity in the field, presented the "Vikram Award 2023" to the talented students. The accolade includes a certificate and a medal, along with a generous cash prize of Rs 25,000.

Financial support for the project was provided by the New Generation and Entrepreneurship Development Center, Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi.
