For several days, the Udaipur Municipal Corporation has been tackling the city's encroachment issues. Their efforts have significantly cleared the congested areas that were causing disruptions. Recently, the Corporation has once again launched a successful drive to reclaim public spaces from encroachers.

On Wednesday, July 7,2024, they removed an encroachment of about 15 feet outside a sweets shop at Delhi Gate. The shop had set up a tent, which was causing inconvenience to the public. This action has brought relief to the general public.

Mayor Govind Singh Tank and Municipal Commissioner Ram Prakash appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the corporation in making Udaipur an encroachment-free city.

Commissioner Ram Prakash mentioned that some vendors at Delhi Gate had encroached on the space in front of their shops. This was creating problems for the general public, city residents, and vehicle drivers. In response, Municipal Police Inspectors Mangilal Dangi, Vijay Jain, and Rahul Meena quickly removed the tents and other encroachments on Wednesday. They also warned the vendors not to create temporary encroachments like this in the future.

Govind Singh Tank and Commissioner Ram Prakash also urged city residents not to create any permanent or temporary encroachments outside their establishments. The Commissioner further stated that from January 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024, the Municipal Corporation conducted a campaign to remove encroachments from public roads in Udaipur. This effort has widened the roads, providing relief from traffic jams and making transportation smoother for everyone.
