Dr. Dinesh Kharadi, CMHO, Udaipur has confirmed that the information doing rounds on social media that a doctor couple who were found to be COVID positive are still consulting patients is a rumour.

UdaipurTimes was informed by Dr Dinesh Kharadi that Dr Chandrakant Ameta and Dr Hemlata Ameta, who together run Amera Orthopaedic hospital in Hiran Magri, Sect 6 were found to be COVID positive on 19 July in the morning report.

Immediately on receiving the information, the hospital was sealed off completely and the doctor couple was taken into isolation.  The record of current patients and those who have been in touch with the couple over the last couple of weeks was collected and the sampling and testing of these suspects has begun on a war front as per the protocol.

Dr Dinesh confirmed that the health department and administration have sealed the hospital and no patient is being consulted by either Dr Chandrakant or Dr Hemlata Ameta and this information is a rumour.
