The strike led by resident doctors from Udaipur, protesting the suspension of doctors at Kanwatia Hospital in Jaipur, concluded on April 14. All resident doctors are set to resume their duties from now onwards, following the resolution of the strike. The administration of RNT Medical College has adopted a resolution, signaling an end to the strike.

The strike, which began on April 12 with a two-hour boycott of work, extended into a full-day boycott on April 13 and continued through April 14, with resident doctors abstaining from duty. However, discussions between the additional Chief Secretary of the medical department and representatives of the Resident Doctors Association on Sunday resolved the situation. Subsequently, the Resident Doctors announced the end of the strike.

Dr. Deepak Ninama, president of the Udaipur Resident Doctors Association, confirmed that the suspension of the resident doctors from SMS Medical College, Jaipur, has been revoked by the administration, considering their future. Nevertheless, an ongoing investigation into the incident will go on till the allegations are not taken back or proved.

The strike was triggered by the suspension of the resident doctors at Kanwatia Hospital following allegations against them by the relatives of a woman who gave birth at the hospital gate. The suspension prompted resident doctors statewide to join the protest, with Resident Doctors in RNT Medical College Udaipur (MB Hospital) supporting their demonstration. The protest escalated on Saturday when the initial two-hour boycott of work extended, leading to the declaration of a full-fledged strike.
