In Ashok Nagar, significant development projects are currently underway to address traffic congestion and improve infrastructure. One of the key initiatives is the opening of the Shakti Nagar Bottleneck, aimed at easing traffic flow in the area. Currently, the Udaipur Municipal Corporation has commenced the widening of the Ashok Nagar intersection to alleviate congestion.
The widening project involves pushing back the boundary of Mohanlal Sukhadiya Memorial Foundation Park to make space for an additional lane on the main road. This move is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion at the intersection, providing relief to commuters.
The plan includes widening the intersection from both sides, towards Sukhadiya Park and the regional office of the Tribal Department. The first phase of the project has begun from the Sukhadiya Park side, with a budget of Rs 20 Lakh allocated for pushing the park's boundary inward to expand the road.
Upon completion, the widened road will feature a new lane supported by the park's boundary, facilitating smoother traffic flow on Ayad Road and Durga Nursery Road. This improvement will particularly benefit drivers travelling towards Durga Nursery Road from the Ayad Bridge. Furthermore, dividers will be installed on the additional lane once the project is completed..
These development initiatives are expected to enhance traffic management and overall infrastructure in Ashok Nagar, promoting smoother travel experiences for residents and commuters.
