Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced significant developments for the Mewar-Vagad region while discussing the Finance and Appropriation Bill for the 2024-25 state budget. Among the announcements, he highlighted a major infrastructure project for Udaipur city.
CM revealed plans to build an elevated road from Udaipur City Station to the Collector's Residence. This project, costing Rs 210 crore, is part of a broader initiative that includes over Rs 1,100 crore allocated for road construction and upgrades throughout the state.
The announcement came after the Muslim Federation submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through Udaipur District Collector Arvind Kumar Poswal. Federation Vice-President Syed Danish Ali emphasized the urgent need for the elevated road to alleviate severe traffic congestion at Delhi Gate, Surajpol, and Udiapol. With increasing traffic and tourism, these areas frequently experience heavy jams, making the new road a important development for the city.
