A farmer from Udaipur has been honored for his outstanding contribution in the field of agriculture by Central Minister of Agriculture, Sharad Panwar in a recently held event in Jaipur’s Birla Auditorium.
Maganlal Meghwal from Jhadol’s Godimari village has been awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 25000 and a certificate of appreciation for his developments and various achievements in agriculture. In the joint effort of Central Ministry of Agriculture and International Trade in Agriculture and Agro Based Industries, agriculture minister has honored Meghwal for his innovative and successful work in the year 2010-11. Meghwal has done excellent quality farming of amla, lemon, cashew, mango, almond and other fruit crops including strawberries and also fishing. According to the geographical condition of Udaipur Meghwal has made an outstanding success and has set an example for many farmers of the area. Maganlal Meghwal has used various modern techniques of irrigations like drip irrigation, rain-gun system and multiple thresher system to achieve something great in the field of agriculture .
