Traffic problems on the road will be solved...

Bottleneck Fateh Pura

The bottlenecks at the Fatehpura intersection, causing inconvenience for 71 days, were finally cleared in three installments on Tuesday. The UDA team reached the site at 9:30 in the morning to address the issue. They efficiently cleared the remaining debris from the building that was being demolished, with the assistance of a JCB. About 25 dumpers were used to remove the debris from the location.

During this process, commuters experienced a few hours of traffic jams. However, the good news is that the road is now smooth and free from obstructions. With the completion of this work, motorists can enjoy a convenient journey from one end of the road to the other.

The UDA survey highlighted a daily traffic volume of 66,415 PCUs (Passenger Car Units) at the intersection. To address this congestion, plans are underway to widen the intersection to around 150 feet. This expansion is anticipated to alleviate traffic issues in the city significantly.

Vehicles from various cities, including Nathdwara-Jaipur, Mount Abu, Jodhpur, Ranakpur, Ajmer, and more, frequently traverse through this intersection. The upcoming enhancement aims to enhance traffic flow and accessibility for commuters from these cities.

On September 26,2023, UDA undertook the first-ever demolition of a building located at the intersection's corner. The administration and UIT collaborated in executing this action, gaining control of a long-standing stalled project that had persisted for approximately 22 years. At the site, a two-storey building saw the demolition of three rooms.

On November 22, 2023, the demolition of six rooms in the building occurred for the second time. Following the removal of 30 dumpers and 10 tractor trollies filled with debris, only one room was spared. The reason behind this decision was the occupancy of a lone woman in that particular room. The entire demolition process was halted due to the unfortunate death of her relative, who was not present at the scene. The event unfolded as a precautionary measure, ensuring the woman's safety and taking into account the sensitive circumstances surrounding the loss of her relative.

On December 5, the last phase of the operation occurred. The remaining room in this location was demolished, leaving the intersection almost completely cleared. In the upcoming days, a well-constructed paved road will be laid to ensure smooth access to the intersection, clearing the way through the debris.
