Introducing children and young adults to world cinema, the Udaipur Film Society is working to create film clubs in every locality of the city. Under this initiative, Satrangi Film Club was created at New Trimurti Complex, Sector 4.

In the club, kids were shown Iranian film ‘White Balloon’ directed by Jaffar Panahi where the audience learnt about the Iranian society and culture through the life of a kid.

Organizer Shailendra Pratap Singh translated a few dialogues for the kids. On the same occasion, a 10 minute long animated short film ‘Printed Rainbow’ directed by Geetanjali Rao was also filmed.

Udaipur Film Society is acting ahead in making film clubs in every locality for all to explore world cinema. Active member Kirti Bhati created the Satrangi Children Film Club at Sector 4 with the help of Lakshmi, Sampat and Teena.

Organizer Shailendra Singh informed that any Udaipurite who wishes to project the film in his locality can do so with the help of plethora of films kept in the Society’s film library for which the Society will help organize the screening. There are various films catering to kids, women, youth and all categories in the library.
