After two rain-free days following Tuesday's rainfall, the city found itself blanketed in thick fog. The dense fog persisted until 8:00 AM, limiting visibility to just one thousand meters. This atmospheric condition had ripple effects on air traffic, notably impacting flight operations at Maharana Pratap Airport in Dabok.
On that Tuesday, the reduced visibility at the airport led to disruptions for five flights. The lingering fog not only posed challenges for commuters but also underscored the significant impact of weather conditions on transportation systems.
Operating between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM, these flights connect the city with Jaipur, Mumbai, and Bhopal, featuring one flight each, and three flights to Delhi. It was around 10:30 AM when the weather cleared up, and visibility improved, allowing the flights to finally take off and land.
Unfortunately, the earlier weather issues led to delays of 2 to 3 hours for these flights. This delay, in turn, caused significant inconvenience for passengers. The disruption in the schedule undoubtedly posed challenges for those relying on timely and efficient air travel.
