Udaipur Historian Talked on Mewar History at Jalgaon

Dr. Kamal Singh Rathore Bemla and Mohan Singh Bambora represented and delivered invited lecture at Natraj Hall, Jalgaon, Maharashtra. This function was organized by Kshatriya Shodh Sansthan, Jalgaon. Nearly five hundred audiences were present there to witness the success of this gracious function. Chief Guest of the function was Suryabhan Singh Rajput, President Indian Press Trust and President of the function was Pratap Shariri Vidhyadhar Panat.

Mohan Singh Bambora speak on “Repercussions of Khanwa War: what we gain or loss?, he narrated the reasons of the sure win to loss conditions of Maharana Sanga against Baber in 1528 at Khanwa near Bayana, Alwar district. After this defeat Mughal imperialism was established in India for more than 250 years.

He also told that history is mother of all subjects, what we can learn from history and how history is useful in today’s scenario and how we can make it interesting to the children of today’s generation.

He added after this war many lesions learnt by forthcoming emperors and chieftains like Maharana Pratap, Chatrapati Shiwaji, Veer Durgadas, Guru Gobind Singh and Chhatrasal Bundela, they learnt to keep flame of the lamp of freedom always lit. After this was many people displaces to the southern side of the Indian peninsula. Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam was the mantra also learnt during this period.

Dr.Kamal Singh Rathore give details and speak on “Veer Durgadas Rathore and his South Indian Sojourn and expeditions”. He told about the hardships faced successfully by Durgadas for retaining and regaining the reign of Marwar for infant king Ajit Singh from the deadly clinch of ferocious and very staunch emperor Aurangzeb for almost 30 years.

Veer Durgadas was a great statesman and kingmaker in the history of India. Durgadas also successfully convinced Akbar-II son of Aurangzeb to parted and declare hiself  Bharateshwar at Nadol.

Durgadas then spent almost 12 years in three different phases at Maratha kingdom during Chatrapati Shiwaji and Shambhaji reign. Durgadas accompanying Akbar for securing help from Shambhaji against Aurangzeb and he also work as peace ambassador for Marathas against Portuguese by signing peace treaty in 1686.

The book of Dr.Nar Singh Pardeshi Baghel “History of Khandesh Rajputs” was released by Suryabhan Singh and other dignitaries. Brother of the President Pratibha Devi Singh Patiland former MP from Jalgaon Mahendra Singh Patil was also presented on this auspicious occasion.
