A heart breaking news is that there is no place for a cozy candle light dinner or a romantic menu available in the lake city Udaipur to make this Valentine special.

Most of the star graded hotels and high end restaurants have not planned any exclusivity to offer on V-Day. One of restaurant managers said, we have no plans to offer anything different on the day, last year we did but not responded well.

A popular highway resort manager said that we could do something on valentine but have not planned anything yet.

Girish(name changed), one of the restaurant employees told us that “you won’t get any restaurant owner disclosing their plans on this valentine; most of them don’t do anything special in fear of protesters”

We’d asked more than 15 restaurants and hotels in Udaipur about their arrangements or special offerings on V-Day but nothing interesting came up except mere disappointment. Though, there are few restaurants with some good arrangements, Bay Leaf is one of them.

Unlike hotels and resorts, cards and gifts shops are loaded with variety of new offerings on Valentine’s Day. Like a big jumbo card with a heavy price tag of 700/- , crystal watch and a dancing couple show piece are available in different size and shapes.

Many tour experts takes Udaipur in the list of most favorite Valentine’s getaways of India among other famous holiday spots like Manali, Shimla, Andaman and Ooty but local hospitality industry of Udaipur need to add a pinch of salt to make the day remarkable for locals and tourists.
