The Leela Palace, Udaipur was ranked as India’s best hotel in  Trip Advisor’s Travellers’ Choice 2017 Award.  It was also ranked as the 7th best in Asia.  Taj Lake Palace Udaipur was ranked as the third best hotel in India with the second position being taken by another Rajasthan hotel, Umaid Bhawan Palace Jodhpur.

Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for hotels, restaurants and attractions in destinations worldwide, gathered over a 12-month period.

The Oberoi Udaivilas also feature in the list as the 11st best hotel in India.

The World’s Best Hotel was awarded to Aria Hotel Budapest by Library Hotel Collection in Hungary, Budapest. The Asian list was topped by Mandapa, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Ubud Indonesia.
