Udaipur: In a crucial meeting chaired by District Collector Arvind Poswal, stakeholders gathered at the Collectorate Mini Auditorium to deliberate on proposals aimed at revitalizing water sources as part of the Urban Area Amrit Yojana 2.0. Officials from the Municipal Corporation, Udaipur Development Authority, and Forest Department participated in the discussion.

The Collector emphasized the vital connection between Udaipur's identity and its lakes, highlighting their pivotal role in maintaining environmental equilibrium. Stressing the importance of conservation and development, he issued directives to municipal officials, urging them to prevent any sewage discharge into the lakes. Furthermore, he mandated regular inspections to monitor parameters such as oxygen levels in the water, ensuring the efficacy of established systems.

The meeting delved into the status and challenges concerning various lakes and water sources, including iconic ones like Pichola, Fatehsagar, Swaroop Sagar, and Goverdhan Sagar. Participants were tasked with preparing proposals to address these issues effectively.
