Udaipur marks Gandhi Jayanti with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
Giving tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 145th Birth Anniversary today, people of Udaipur enthusiastically took part in the nationwide cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Politicians, educationists, social workers, businessmen, students etc contributed in the movement and cleaned up public places, office premises and neighborhoods. The drive was launched in Udaipur by Gulabchand Kataria, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.
Kataria holding broom in his hands started cleaning up Jagdish Chowk. He was also accompanied with Rajni Dangi (Mayor, UMC), Phool Singh Meena (MLA BJP) and other local leaders.
Gulabchand Kataria also took oath with other party members to keep the city clean. Arjun Lal Meena (M.P) also spread the movement by involving residents of Housing Board Colony Sec.9.
Swachh Bharat at MPUAT
Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) took part in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by organizing awareness rally and cleaning the campus.
All students, faculties, non teaching staff etc contributed in the mission as part of giving honor to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri’s principals.
Deans of all MPUAT affiliated colleges including CTAE, Dairy, Home Science, Fisheries and administrative officials were present on the occasion.
BJP Sardar Patel Mandal
Sardar Patel Mandal, one of the branches of BJP also came forward to express their respect and took part in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by cleaning Pashupati Nath Mandir campus at Sector 11. Under the direction of Mahesh Trivedi, the members then went to Sikh Colony, Shree Ram Mandir, Alok Campus etc and executed the cleaning drive.
Vidya Bhawan Polytechnic
Under the banner of National Service Scheme, the students of Vidya Bhawan Polytechnic College cleaned their college campus. All students and faculties worked together in beautification and cleaned up college garden, parking areas and several other places.
West Zone Cultural Center & Shilpgram
Not only the folk artists of Shilpgram but also the administrative officials of West Zone Cultural Center cleaned Baghore ki Haveli and Shilpgram under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan today.
Shailendra Dashora, Director of WZCC gave oath to all his subordinates to keep the premises they work and locality they live clean. Dashora himself wiped out headquarter of WZCC at Baghore ki Haveli.
Artists at Shilpgram, Hawala also cleaned the widely spread village of folk artists and craftsmen.
Geetanjali University’s contribution
Geetanjali College of Nursing also contributed in the nationwide cleaning campaign today. The movement was flagged off by Dr. Jayalaxmi, Dean of Geetanjali School and College of Nursing.
All students and teachers of Community Health Nursing Department cleaned up their college premises and took the oath to maintain the cleanliness of the campus.
Many other organizations like IIM Udaipur, Bar Association, Sunrise Group of Institutions and Railway employees also marked the day with different programs and contributed in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
