To enhance safety and convenience at Udaipur’s City Railway Station, MP Manalal Rawat conducted an inspection on June 31,2024 evening. His inspection focused on increasing security measures from the station's entrance gates to the parking areas and platforms.
Highlighting potential service expansions, MP suggested extending the Chetak Express service to Dungarpur. He also recommended regularizing the Haridwar train, currently operating thrice a week, to meet increased passenger demand. Furthermore, he emphasized the need to prioritize trains like Chetak and others experiencing high passenger volumes.
MP proposed making the reception area and lobby on the ground floor of a hotel situated on railway land accessible to the public. This initiative aims to alleviate traffic congestion from vehicles arriving from Udiapol and facilitate direct access for travellers heading towards sectors like Savina and other areas. Additionally, the MP urged for the enhancement of the road infrastructure leading from the main gate.
