Udaipur is witnessing a increase in tourist bookings due to the upcoming holidays. With Independence Day, Raksha Bandhan, and Janmashtami falling back-to-back, along with the weekends, the festive mood has doubled. This series of holidays has led to an expected increase in tourist influx.

To attract more tourists, hotels and resorts are offering special packages. Visitors from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi have already begun making advance bookings. Hotels and resorts in Lake City are planning theme-based decorations for Independence Day to enhance the festive experience.

This year, Independence Day falls on a Thursday. Following this, there is a weekend on August 17 and 18, and Raksha Bandhan on August 19,2024. Another weekend on the 24 and 25 is followed by Janmashtami on August 26,2024 providing multiple opportunities for tourists to extend their stays.

Rakesh Chaudhary, Secretary of the Hotel Association of Southern Rajasthan, shared that bookings are already high. Around 90% of hotels and resorts outside the city are booked for Independence Day, while 50% of the accommodations within the city are also reserved. The tourism season is expected to see a significant number of visitors.

Special Janmashtami packages are being offered, ranging from Rs 12,000/- to Rs 25,000/-.These packages include a Dahi Handi event in the garden area for tourists. The package also offers a 2-night and 3-day stay with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

For Independence Day, packages ranging from Rs 11,000/- to Rs 22,000/- are available. These include a flag hoisting ceremony on August 15. Tourists can enjoy a 2-night and 3-day stay with meals. Additionally, a 15% discount is offered on any extra food orders.
