Udaipur on Alert after 3 positive cases of Swine Flu reported
Udaipur is on an alert after 9 cases of Swine Flu reported in the city. In MB Hospital, 3 patients have been detected positive of the flu including a 2.5 year old kid and 2 others screened outdoor.
Udaipur is on an alert after 9 cases of Swine Flu reported in the city. In MB Hospital, 3 patients have been detected positive of the flu including a 2.5 year old kid and 2 others screened outdoor.
Ward In charge Dr. Mahesh Dave informed that during screening in OPD, tests were taken of 2 suspects. Besides the 2.5 year old kid, other patient is a 40 year old man from Mandsaur and the third is referred from Dungarpur. 5 other patients’ condition is normal, so far.
CMHO Dr. Sanjeev Tak held a meeting with health officers of the district and advised them to increase the screening procedure. The holidays of the doctors have also been cancelled.
Swine Flu: Announced as a Pandemic in 2009, its strain was H1N1 which took lives of around thousands in the world. The first death was reported in Mexico. In India, 1000 people have died due to the flu.
Swine Flu Symptoms: Runny nose, watery eyes, 100 degree+ fever, fatigue & headache, sore throat, shivering and vomit & diarrhea.
