Swachch Bharat ranking for North Zone Railway Stations has been declared. Udaipur has been ranked 4^th in this list. All railway stations nationwide were surveyed under Swachch Rail-Swachch Bharat campaign and ranked accordingly.

Three years back, Udaipur railway station was at number 141 out of the 407 railway stations after which the department became alert. Now with all the cleanliness drive carried out by the rail administration, Udaipur railway station has jumped 137 places and reached number 4 on the ladder. Marwar railway station has bagged the first position whereas Jodhpur is first in the Top-10 A1 category.

As per the city station Superintendent, Udaipur has achieved this ranking due to the combined efforts of everyone. Efforts are now being made to pull Udaipur station on the top most position. QCI team had visited Udaipur railway station for cleanliness survey in the month of May. Feedback was also taken from passengers. Every wash room and waiting room was also checked. He also said that the team found that every place was clean and the platform was also found much cleaner than before. Udaipur rail department is now determined to get the first place and is making efforts for it.

Suganchand Verma also said that after seeing that Udaipur had rated much lower in the cleanliness drive, the department started paying more attention towards cleanliness. Dustbins were kept at various places, the station was cleaned every 3 hours and hygiene was maintained in waiting rooms and wash rooms. Passengers have been appealed very often to help in maintaining cleanliness.
