Today on 13 June, 11 positive cases were recorded in Udaipur at a positivity rate of 0.59%, which is the lowest in the last 270 days.

As the effects of the second wave of COVID-19 subside across many parts of the country, Udaipur is also witnessing a steep decline in positive cases. The posivitity rate, which is the prime indicator of the infection in an area, has come down considerably along with the number of cases.

The highest positivity rate that Udaipur has seen is 36.54%, which was on 10 May 2021. The lowest positivity rate before today was 0.60% on 16 February 2021, when the number of positive cases was just 4 out of a sample size 665. The number of samples today was 1,864. A total of 56,074 people in Udaipur district have been infected over the last 18 months, of which 55,045 have recovered.

Meanwhile, the CMHO Dr Dinesh Kharadi reported that Udaipur was ranked number 1 across the state in terms of vaccination percentage achieved.
