Udaipur was one of the 10 districts in the state to score a ZERO in a survey on the point of patient satisfaction. The survey was conducted by the state health department to check the pulse in a systematic manner of its health centres. The survey did not include hospitals attached to government run medical colleges.

The performance of districts was assessed by health department via a district ranking system called “Misaal”. As part of this, the health department assessed performance on various indicators and each indicator was given a different weightage. Patient satisfaction was one such indicator and was given 5% weightage in the overall ranking. Udaipur was one of the 10 districts in the state to score a ZERO on this indicator. The survey was conducted by talking on phone with patients who had undertaken treatment from government hospitals.

Udaipur has failed miserably in providing quality of service being provided to patients in Government health centres. The other districts besides Udaipur to have scored a zero include Baran, Barmer, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Dungarpur, Jaisalmer, Jhalawar, Karauli and Sirohi.
