Udaipur's Shivangi Tiwari Selected for National School of Drama Training

Shivangi Tiwari, known for her outstanding performances in plays organized in collaboration with The Performers Cultural Society at the Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal in Udaipur over the past three years, has been selected for a three-year theatrical training program at the National School of Drama in New Delhi. She secured the 7th position in the country, out of thousands of applicants.

Dr. Laique Hussain, Director of Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal, announced that Shivangi Tiwari from Udaipur has been selected for the final workshop of the three-year theatrical course at the National School of Drama for the period 2024 to 2027. He mentioned that every year, the National School of Drama selects 26 theater artists from across India. However, this year, on the recommendation of the Government of India, the school has selected 32 theater artists. 

Apart from Shivangi, Chandrika from the Drama Department of Rajasthan University, Jaipur, was also selected from Rajasthan. 

Dr. Laique Hussain highlighted Shivangi's contributions to various plays, including Parchhainya, Raag Yog, Master Sahab, Chandrahass, Jab Shahar Hamara Sota Hai, Aakhir Ek Din, Maut Ka Mazhab, and Rohan Se Masiha.
