Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (AVVNL) has started a campaign to inform consumers about solar energy. The campaign will kick off on January 4, 2024 with a workshop at the corporation's headquarters from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Following this, workshops will take place at each district headquarter, including Udaipur, starting from January 8, 2024. Chief Engineer Girish Joshi clarifies that these workshops aim to educate consumers about the advantages of rooftop solar. Under the guidance of Managing Director N.S. Nirvana, the team from Ajmer Discom, led by Chief Engineer Project Ashok Kumar, visited Gujarat and actively engaged in a conference organized by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, conducting a thorough study on the subject.
They will make every effort to position Ajmer Discom at the forefront of solar rooftop installations. Managing Director Nirvana mentioned the vast potential for solar energy in Rajasthan. With this in mind, the initiative to establish workshops is underway.
Electricity Bill Savings: Conventional electricity across the country is generated through costly methods. In contrast, solar energy is readily available, and adopting it as an alternative to fuel-based electricity is straightforward. It proves to be a cost-effective option, offering consumers relief from hefty bills.
Low Maintenance: Once rooftop solar is installed, there is no need for special maintenance, resulting in no additional associated costs. Solar systems are renowned for their extended service life.
Environmentally Friendly: Rooftop solar systems produce no harmful greenhouse gases and pose no threat to health. This significantly reduces their carbon footprint, establishing them as entirely eco-friendly.
