To reduce air pollution and for ensuring a cleaner environment, State Government is planning to have the first set of bio-fuel pumps installed in the cities of Udaipur and Jaipur. The bio-fuel will have a combination of the conventional fuels along with addition of Ratanjot.State Government has made the recommendation to the Central Government for provision of bio-fuel pumps in these two cities as part of the smart city campaign. It may be noted that Centre has approved upto 20% addition of bio-fuels along with diesel.

As per representatives from the committee, a report has been submitted to the Centre for provision of bio-fuel stations in the two cities of Udaipur and Jaipur with 20% addition of bio-fuels with diesel with the objective of reducing pollution and increasing life of vehicles.

The representatives said that if even 20% biofuel is added, it will bring down the pollution from these vehicles to close to zero. State has already initiated efforts for procuring Ratanjot from farmers. Support from milk associations will also be taken for procuring Ratanjot from farmers.
