Udaipur, January 1, 2025 - Udaipur is set for major tourism and road developments in 2025. These include the development of Nehru Garden, road construction projects, and the opening of the Lion Safari. Here’s a quick look at the upcoming projects:

Nehru Garden Development

The Nehru Garden in Fateh Sagar Lake is being developed with an animated theme. The park will feature a musical fountain, multimedia water shows, a 7D theater, and more. Over Rs 8 crore has been spent on the civil work, and the project is almost complete.

Elevated Road from Pratapgarh Chauraha to Balicha

A 2.80 km long elevated road will be built between Pratapgarh Chauraha and Transport Nagar. This road sees heavy traffic daily, leading to frequent jams. The project will cost Rs 125 crore, with funds expected to be approved in the upcoming budget.

Balicha Tiraha Overbridge

An overbridge will be constructed at Balicha Tiraha, allowing vehicles from Pratapnagar to Ahmedabad to pass over it. Vehicles traveling from Ahmedabad to Udaipur will pass below. The project’s plan will be finalized in the next 3-4 months.

Udaipur-Asarwa Electrification Work

The electrification of the 299 km long route from Udaipur to Asarwa is nearly finished. This will allow trains on the route to run with electric engines, providing better connectivity to Gujarat, Maharashtra, and South India.

Rana Pratap Nagar: New Three-Storey Building

Rana Pratap Nagar Railway Station is undergoing redevelopment. A new three-storey building is being constructed to improve access and parking facilities. The project will cost Rs 20.9 crore.

Lion Safari to Open in January 2025

Tourists will soon be able to visit the Lion Safari at Sajjangarh Bio Park, set to open on January 26, 2025. The safari route will be around 3-4 kilometers long, offering tourists an exciting experience with a view of the Cloud-9 viewpoint.

Reptile Section at Sajjangarh Bio Park

The Reptile Section at Sajjangarh Bio Park will open alongside the Lion Safari. It will showcase a variety of reptiles, including the King Cobra from Karnataka. The section will cover 0.2 hectares and attract many visitors.

Giraffes Coming to Sajjangarh Bio Park

For the first time, giraffes will be brought to Sajjangarh Bio Park. The enclosure is expected to be ready by March 2025, and the pair of giraffes will allow for breeding at the park.

New Road from Badgaon to Kavita

A new 100-foot road is being constructed from Badgaon to NH-76. The 8.30 km road will connect several villages and provide better access to popular destinations like Kumbhalgarh, Mount Abu, and Jodhpur.
