This is good news!! The beautification of Udaisagar was long awaited and now that the development work has been done, it will become a good tourist attraction. UIT has spent around 1.35 crore rupees on the facelift of this lake which is barely 12 kilometres away from Udaipur city.

The Udaisagar promenade looks as beautiful as the one at Fatehsagar Lake and is now giving new hopes to Udaipur tourism. The domes have a beautiful appearance giving the place the much needed heritage look. A step-park has also been developed facing the promenade.

The development works began towards the end of 2018. This beautification was much awaited as Udaisagar has always attracted local public and tourists because of its span. The lake has a capacity of 1100 mcft of water. It looks amazing during the monsoon season.

4 sewerage treatment plants of 60 mld each have also been started to stop the sewerage from falling into the lake. This has ultimately controlled and stopped the flow of 6 crore litres of contaminated water finally putting an end to the stench. It has given hopes for tourism as the beautification process is certain to attract more and more tourists. UIT will now ask the panchayats and the organisations in the area for the maintenance of the promenade.
