UMC officials Absent in Review Meeting
A District Level Review meeting was held at the Udaipur Collectorate Seminar Hall, to review all the flagship schemes of the State government today. No progress were reported from the part of Udaipur Municipal Council (UMC).
A District Level Review meeting was held at the Udaipur Collectorate Seminar Hall, to review all the flagship schemes of the State government today. No progress were reported from the part of Udaipur Municipal Council (UMC).
In the meeting organised under the Presidency of Chagan Lal Jain, District Head, various discussions and actions taken on the progress of Flagship Schemes including Poverty Eradication, Labour Welfare, Food Security, Housing for All, Clean Drinking Water, Child Welfare, Improvement, etc took place.
Various schemes in which UMC is responsible for ‘Improvement’ in and around 360 under developed areas, which were to be improved on the grounds of sanitation, health education and social security were discussed. No responsible officer, though, from UMC turned up at the meeting and further, no progress has been initiated by any UMC official so far.
It was also discovered in the meeting that an improper distribution of food grains among families falling under category of BPL (Below Poverty Line) was causing a lot of problems.
In the review meeting, the UIT was instructed to complete pending works of canals and water bodies, so as to facilitate proper management of rain water this season.
