The Udaipur Municipal Corporation has been conducting an anti-encroachment drive in the city for several days. Recently, bottlenecks at Delhi Gate and Shaktinagar were cleared. Now, the Corporation has turned its attention to resolving traffic issues in Mewar Motor Lane. This decision was made during the Municipal Corporation's committee meeting on July 21,2024.

Corporation to Negotiate with Landowner

The matter is currently under judicial consideration as contorversy is going on between the landowner and the tenant. To resolve this issue, Singhvi proposed that the property dispute between the tenant and the landlord should be settled. Clearing the bottleneck at Mewar Motor Lane will improve vehicle movement in the area. The municipal corporation plans to negotiate with the landowner to relocate the shop causing the bottleneck to a new location. 

In the meeting, Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi highlighted the significant traffic issues caused by the bottleneck and the area experiences traffic jams throughout the day.
