Residents are complaining that the complaint phone number goes out of order whenever there is undeclared power cut.

Residents of Sector 13 in Hiranmagri area are complaining that undeclared power cuts have become very frequent in this area. Every morning people turn the pages newspapers to check if their area has been mentioned on the declared power cut list. This is done to finish the daily chores on time as winter season demands a lot of attention.

The kids need to leave for school and a sudden power cut creates issues as the geysers do not have enough hot water for bath. The office goers also find it difficult and resort to heating water over gas flame. This is also resulting in the gas cylinders getting empty quickly.

When ever there are undeclared power cuts, the land line number of the complaint office of their area either gives constant busy tones or becomes unconnectable.

What is the point of having a smart city project if power cuts are such an obstacle in people's lives? As per information, Rajasthan has surplus electricity. If this is the case, where is this electricity supply going? Solution is demanded in this case as too much of power cuts throws the city in bad light.
