To ensure better road safety and to reduce the statistics of road accidents, a state level meeting of Traffic Control Board is scheduled to be held on July 28, 2011 at Collectorate’s conference hall. Jitendra Singh – regional transport officer, informed today.

He said that the proposed meeting which is going to start at 11:30 will focus on several issues regarding transportation and road safety.

To cut-off the road accidents a master plan is going to be discussed. It will also include how to induce a safe, sophisticated and transparent system for people to follow road safety rules.

It is expected that the board meeting will introduce new routes, bus facilities, and will add bus stands wherever needed in the district and will decide on how to prevent unlawful driving or vehicles without proper documents.

Board will discuss on improving the transportation service, controlling pollution, broadening the roads, and will draw an action plan according to the points discussed in the upcoming borad meeting.

The meeting is in lieu of problems that the city faces due to uncontrolled traffic situations and high rate of fatal accidents reported everyday.

We hope this board meeting will fetch some good results in favor of citizens.
