Preparations are underway for the Bird Festival scheduled to take place in the City of Lakes. The festival is set to occur from January 11 to January 14, 2024. To coordinate these efforts, a meeting was convened at the Forest Department premises situated in Chetak Circle, with Chief Forest Conservator Wildlife RK Jain presiding over the proceedings.

He conveyed that a forthcoming meeting will be arranged with the Chief District Education Officer and Principals to facilitate the engagement of a higher number of schools in the Bird Festival. Moreover, plans are underway for a nature photography workshop where attendees will receive instruction in nature photography techniques. Esteemed bird and wildlife experts will also be invited to share their insights. Notably, the "Long-Billed Vulture" has been chosen as the featured bird species for this year's Udaipur Bird Festival.
