The traffic police have urged all vehicle owners in Udaipur district to update their mobile numbers on the Transport Service Portal. Updating the mobile number on the portal will enable the police to contact vehicle owners to remove their vehicles from no-parking zones. If contacted, the vehicle owner will not be fined.

DSP Netrapal Singh said action is being taken against vehicles parked in no-parking areas and E-challans are also being issued. During this process, it was found that some vehicle owners had not provided correct mobile numbers during registration with the transport department. Some owners had not provided any numbers at all.

As a result, messages about confiscation and fines are not reaching the drivers.
