Udai Palace Hotel on Ahmedabad road was raided 3 years back. The case dates back to 5^th April 2015 when Goverdhan Vilas police raided the hotel after receiving information about a rave party happening in the hotel.

As per reports, 85 people were arrested. Most of the arrested people were tourists. These tourists were arrested under Sections of PETA Act. Among the arrested, 60 people were tourists from Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot and Mehsana who were visiting Udaipur with respective families. There was a dance party going on in hotel from where police arrested some females who were not part of the families and reportedly dancing with others.

A member of Bar Association was also arrested while he was having dinner there. Reportedly police even seized an amount of 1 lakh 99 thousand rupees from the director of the hotel during the raid. Neelima Pankaj Bansal had appealed in the court that her amount should be returned to her. Neelima’s lawyer Kamlesh Dave informed that the court has issued directives favouring Goverdhan Vilas SI on Thursday that the above mentioned amount should be returned to the Director of Udai Palace Hotel.
