[UPDATED] Missing Hajj Pilgrim from Udaipur found after 22 days
Zaheer Abbas, son of Hatim Attari of Udaipur has been found today who had gone missing since 24th September during a stampede that occurred near Mina, adjacent to the Holy City of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
Zaheer Abbas, son of Hatim Attari of Udaipur has been found who had gone missing since 24th September during a stampede that occurred near Mina, adjacent to the Holy City of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
The stampede had caused a loss of nearly 800 lives leaving many injured. Zaheer, who was with his parents Hatim and Shireen Attari in the area, was separated from them in the chaos.
The trusted sources gave this information to UT as the father Hatim Attari is on his way to Mecca from Medina to bring back his son. Police informed the parents about Zaheer who was found day before yesterday. Hatim and Shireen Attari and the travel agent with all the documents are traveling to Mecca.
During the search process of the victim, Afsar Hussain and his wife Shahida Jaipury an NRI family from Udaipur living Saudi Arabia did commendable job.
UPDATE: Zaheer is discharged from the hospital and his custody is given to the Udaipur based NRI Afsar Hussain and his wife Shahida in presence of Embassy officials. Afsar Hussain has now headed to Medina City where Zaheer’s parents are waiting for their son after long separation.
[Update] Zaheer is presently in Mecca Hospital. After verification of the documents, the custody of Zaheer will be given to his parents by tonight.
