UPFPO Shakti Portal - Mobile App platform for enabling farmers to expand their market base
Uttar Pradesh currently has 576 FPOs comprising of 2.15 lakh farmers, of which 471 FPOs have registered themselves on the portal.

The state of Uttar Pradesh in India has launched the first official government Farmer Producer Organisation portal. The portal, titled UP FPO Shakti Portal was launched by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday as a part of the Kisan Kalyan Mission.
Under this, farmers in the state will be able to download all relevant documentation needed to form the organisation. The FPO portal contains all the necessary information on the FPOs, their key activities, organizational structure and the produces. The farmer members will be able to download all necessary information on their smart phones through the UPFPO SHAKTI mobile app.
This initiative will enable farmers to expand their market base, reduce dependency on Mandis and facilitate national and trans-boundary trade.
The Department of Agriculture, government of Uttar Pradesh, with support of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have developed this first of its kind portal. It is aimed at giving a single platform for farmers, producer groups, traders and the department of agriculture along with other allied departments to come together for the benefit of the farmers.
