Rebates announced by Udaipur Regional Transport Office (RTO)

Upto 100% rebate on Interest and Penalties

The Udaipur Regional Transport Officer Pratap Singh Rathore has announced rebates on interest and penalties as a releif measure following the lockdown imposed due to the second COVID-19 wave.

Elaborating the rebates in a message to the media today, Rathore said that the Regional Transport office has announced 100% rebate on interest and penalties on those vehicles whose taxes were due on 31 January 2021.

Apart from this, a rebate between 75%-99% on fines imposed will be given to the owners of those vehicles that were black listed through e-Ravanna by Dept of Mines and Minerals. Accordingly, such vehicle owners who have not got the challan issued for the fines imposed on them, can avail of this rebate by getting their challan generated before 30 June. Following this, those vehicles whose payment has not been done by 30 June, will be confiscated as per the regulations.

District Transport Officer Dr Kalpana Sharma also urged the vehicle owners whose vehicles have been completely destroyed and non operational, to get their vehicles disposed off under the amnesty scheme.
