US Ambassador Eric Garcetti, with his family, visited the picturesque World Heritage site Kumbhalgarh. On Friday March 22, 2024,, the ambassador and his family experienced a thrilling jungle safari, immersing themselves in the natural beauty of the area. During his visit, Ambassador Garcetti also had the opportunity to explore the exquisite Jain temple of Ranakpur.
In the afternoon, Garcetti, excort by jeeps, ventured into the Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary for a safari. Alongside him were officials from the police, administration, and forest department, ensuring a safe and memorable experience.
Arriving at Pratap Chowk in Kumbhalgarh, Garcetti proceeded to witness the historical marvel of Kumbhalgarh Fort and its famed second-longest wall in the world. Expressing his admiration, the Ambassador lauded the fort as an incredible testament to craftsmanship.
Ambasssador Garcetti was provided with insights into the rich history and significance of the fort, adding depth to his experience. In evening he visited the captivating light and sound show at Kumbhalgarh.
The US Ambassador is currently en route to Delhi. Shikha Saxena, Deputy Director of the Tourism Department, said that she presented him with the Travel Notebook of Rajasthan Tourism. In return, he gave her a souvenir featuring his name and position on one side, and on the other side, the phrase "PLANET PEOPLE PEACE PROSPERITY" alongside intertwined flags of India and the US.
During their conversation at the airport, he inquired about a place that is beautiful yet lesser-known to people. She then informed him about Chacha Kota and also showed him some pictures. The Ambassador eas very pleased to hear about how Udaipur successfully repatriated American tourists during the COVID period. He also mentioned that there are lot of beautiful places to visit here.
