Udaipur, February 5, 2025 - The US military deported 205 Indian migrants as part of President Donald Trump's strict immigration policies. The plane carrying the migrants left San Antonio, Texas, at around 3:00 IST on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, and landed in Amritsar on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, morning.

The use of military planes for deportation is unusual for the US and is considered very expensive. The US is dealing with a large number of illegal immigrants, with around 20,000 Indian migrants currently waiting for deportation. In total, it is estimated that 725,000 Indians are living illegally in the United States.

This deportation marks the first batch since Trump returned as president. The US military is now playing an increasingly larger role in immigration enforcement.
